I'm running the Race for Life in memory of my mum, Caroline who 3 weeks ago lost her 5 year fight against cancer. She worried that she'd never see me grow up and not know what i would do my life so I promised that I would do and be something extraordinary . So to honour my promise to her I want to raise at least £3000 to help fight the sick, horrible disease that is cancer. My mum was one of 12.7 million people to be diagnosed with cancer in 2008 so it's horrible to think how many other people have lost their mums, dads, aunties, uncles, brothers, sisters, grandparents and children to cancer. Please just take 5 minutes out of your day to donate either to this page or in person and help me achieve this total to help make sure that one day no body has to lose anybody they love to cancer. Thank You x Support and Visit Charis' page right here - http://www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/charisheighton29 A 52-year-old man was rescued from his crane cab this morning after he became ill and needed hospital treatment. Crews from Bromborough and the search and rescue team from Croxteth used specialist rope gear to assist paramedics in lowering the man from the 40ft-high cab at Mersey Wharf near Dock Road South in Bromborough. Two Wirral Citizens Advice Bureau branches have closed this week.... The centres at Acacia Grove in West Kirby, and New Chester Road in New Ferry, shut their doors for good on Monday. The decision was taken after the Government abolished funding for Legal Aid and so reduced the cash received by Wirral CAB for its work. The cuts to aid amounted to a £400,000 loss |
