Tranmere Rovers have announced that Home Bargains will be its shirt sponsor from next season onwards.
The League One club is set to confirm the agreement at its annual dinner this evening.
Wirral Council revealed earlier this year that it will not be renewing its sponsorship of the Prenton Park outfit due to cost-cutting measures.
However, the local government vowed to continue backing the club's work in the community.
"We will also not be renewing the Council’s sponsorship of Tranmere Rovers FC, however, we will continue to support the excellent work the Club does in both local schools and the wider community across Wirral," said Wirral Council in a statement.
Founded by Tom Morris in Liverpool in 1976, Home Bargains is a discount retail chain that operates more than 300 stores around the UK.
The company generated more than £900 million in revenue and operating income of over £84 million.
